Startup of "Expedition: Biosphere II"





Not all of earth has been explored. Although satellites have mapped the whole world, we haven’t investigated or even set foot in every area, particularly in many of the world’s rainforests where terrain makes travel difficult and deadly animals make it an even more daring effort. That means it’s still possible to gain fame and experience amazing discoveries. Many have dreamed, few have tried for such glory, and about none have achieved it, but the Global Untouched Lands Exploration Agency (G.U.L.E.A) is intended to accomplish just that. Already having sent people to northern Greenland and others to various parts of the ocean, they now intend to discover as much as possible of the Amazon Rainforest, what this story will be about hereafter…


This is the beginning of our new and first story, Expedition: Biosphere II.

Beaded with sweat, James suddenly woke up with a start. It was only a little after midnight with darkness consuming the camp like the bottom of a mine, and the air was humid and stuffy, yet James was wide awake now. His quick arising in his mosquito-net covered hammock had flung it off balance and upside-down, twisting him in the classic hammock mess. The Descent

Looking out of large helicopter window, James tightened the straps to his 85.7 pound backpack. They were nearing the predetermined drop-off point where they would lower a metal cord into the impenetrable forest canopy and zip down the team of 6 men. For now he and the others gazed upon the luster of the rich emerald green tree tops mixing with the rising mist that veiled the ominous beauty. “Isn’t it marvelous?” he said to himself. “Hey, Cole!”  shouting above the whir of the chopper, “How’s it feel to take a trip to where you’re lost on the first day?” He gave a teasing smirk while he waited for Eli Cole to throw back another clever response. “Well,” Cole said laughing at his interpretation of the moment, “being lost first thing on a trip sounds scary, but then again if we’re trying to explore new regions, then knowing  where we are might be just as bad.” James chuckled at the remark while looking back towards the window until from behind, Mark, the Surviva...
